Speech Therapy is the healthcare discipline concerned with the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of human communication disorders: speech, language, voice, hearing and orofacial functions such as swallowing. It covers both paediatric and adult populations, ranging from language delays in children to dysphagia after a stroke in adults.

At Fontanet Medicina i Fisioterapia we offer a comprehensive speech therapy service for patients of all ages. In children, we work on speech and language delays, articulation disorders (dyslalia) and reading and writing difficulties (dyslexia). In adults, we treat dysphagia, post-stroke aphasia and dysarthria.
