Cardiology is the medical specialty dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of heart and circulatory system diseases. Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death in Spain, making early detection through diagnostic tests essential to prevent serious events such as heart attacks or strokes.

At Fontanet Medicina i Fisioterapia we have a complete diagnostic cardiology service with state-of-the-art technology. We perform electrocardiograms, echocardiograms, stress tests, ECG Holter monitors and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM), all at our Tarragona facilities without needing to go to the hospital.

Our cardiologists offer specialized consultations for cardiovascular risk factor control — hypertension, cholesterol, diabetes, smoking — the follow-up of patients with known heart disease, and pre-surgical or pre-sports cardiological assessment.

We work closely with our sports medicine service to offer complete cardiological assessments for athletes requiring a more in-depth study of their cardiac function.
